Join the River City Security Team

River City Security Services, Inc. is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for day shift assignments throughout the Jacksonville area.

Our Security Officers serve as the visible presence of River City Security at our clients' properties. We are looking for people who communicate well, pay attention to their surroundings, follow instructions, and can be counted on to report to work as scheduled.

Assignments may include residential communities, commercial properties, industrial facilities, construction sites, and other client locations.

What You May Be Responsible For

Duties vary by assigned site and may include:

• Monitoring entrances, exits, gates, lobbies, and other access points

• Verifying visitors, employees, vendors, contractors, and deliveries

• Conducting routine foot or vehicle patrols

• Monitoring cameras, gates, doors, and security equipment when applicable

• Observing and reporting suspicious activity, safety concerns, property damage, and rule violations

• Assisting visitors and providing professional customer service

• Responding appropriately to alarms, incidents, disturbances, or emergencies

• Contacting management, law enforcement, fire rescue, or emergency services when necessary

• Completing daily activity reports, incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation

• Following site-specific post orders and client procedures

• Maintaining a professional uniform and appearance throughout the shift

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Have an active Florida Class D Security Officer License or valid temporary blue card

• Have reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations

• Be able to pass a background check

• Be able to pass a drug screening

• Have reliable attendance and report to work on time

• Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, visitors, and members of the public

• Be able to read, understand, and follow written post orders

• Be able to complete clear and accurate written reports

• Have a smartphone capable of using scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting applications

• Be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required by the assignment
  
  

Preferred Experience

Previous security experience is helpful but is not required for every assignment.

Additional qualifications that may be useful include:

• Access control experience

• CCTV monitoring

• Patrol experience

• TWIC card

• Valid driver's license

• Military, law enforcement, corrections, or public safety experience

• CPR or First Aid certification
  
  

Available Schedules

This posting is primarily for day shift positions.

Full-time and part-time assignments may be available depending on current client needs.

Specific schedules, locations, and duties will be discussed during the hiring process.
