Job Description:

River City Security Services Inc. is actively seeking dependable, professional, and experienced Security Officers with a VALID TWIC CARD to join our growing team in Jacksonville, Florida.

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing excellent customer service.

A VALID TWIC CARD IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to assigned facilities and restricted areas.

• Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.

• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols.

• Monitor property for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security violations.

• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents.

• Enforce site-specific security procedures and company policies.

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and emergency personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a CURRENT and VALID TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.

• Must possess a valid Florida Class D Security Officer License.

• Previous security experience preferred.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must be able to pass a criminal background screening and any required drug screening.

• Must possess strong communication and observation skills.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.

• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

• Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in maritime, port, industrial, warehouse, or access-control security.

• Experience working at TWIC-restricted facilities.

• Familiarity with security reporting systems and emergency response procedures.

• Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience.
